Biography
Andy has been writing stories and songs from the time he realized he could do either. Much of his first novel (THE STICKS, Delirium Books, 2009) was written while passing long miles between gigs on the road with his band Bella Morte. Since finishing THE STICKS Andy has completed a second novel and is working furiously on a third and a collection of short stories.
Andy Deane is best known as the frontman and lyricist for the internationally renowned alternative rock band Bella Morte. They have released two EPs and six full-length albums (the most recent being “Beautiful Death” in late 2008, Metropolis Records) over the past decade and have toured extensively throughout the US and Europe during that time. In 2000 Andy appeared on The Montel Williams show to express his views on the Columbine massacre. The band found major success with their cover of The Penguin’s classic song “Earth Angel” and produced a wildly popular video for the track that continues to recieve heaps of attention on youtube. The video for the band’s latest single, “Find Forever Gone”, was recently picked up by FUSE and MTV Latin America.
Andy lives and dies with the Steelers every Sunday (and some Monday nights) during football season and is a fanatic when it comes to boxing. Andy was born in Charlottesville, Virginia and figures he’ll be buried there someday.
